just be sure not to buy one with an IMS mount, then you cant trade it in when upgrading to an epic
red is not a color, it's a camera.

since epic don't take reservation nor deposit, will it be prioritized based on RED ONE serial number ?

We have upped production significantly so the wait is not too long if you order now.

Check the Jobs/Equipment for hire page:

it's usually cheaper to buy a new one though.

How long is "not too long"? I'm hesitant to send in the remainder of my payment for my 2nd camera because of how long it took last time from the day I received my notice and made my payment to the day FedEx showed up at my door.

If I wire the remaining balance today for #4008 and RED receives the funds by Tuesday October 7th, would I "definitely" have my 2nd camera by October 31st? Or is there still a chance (10% or more probability) that I might not receive it until late November?

If someone orders one today and pays in full the moment they receive their notice, would they have their camera for sure by the end of November?

Reason I ask is because a statement like this could really hurt the resale and rental market needlessly if there is still a 45-60 day lag on orders placed today. What's worse is those people that would have bought a used camera or scheduled a rental will be upset if their camera doesn't arrive on time for a key shoot and then it would be too late to buy or negotiate a good rental price in advance.

I mean no disrespect here Mr. Jannard, I only want to help. I think some clarification on "not too long" could keep everyone happy.

Can you give a very reliable projection, a date I can really count on? It'll be my 4th RED One if it matters.

Very cool, the delivery and service time are what keeping some of my friends from ordering a REDONE. Thank you.
