I remember most Japanese anime titles made into feature films being more colorful. This is just my interpretation.

Actually, the general look on the video is kinda close to the scene that it's inspired by (in Zack Snyder's Suck Punch). But the really cool thing about your interpretation is like it feels to me like the look of the Rouruni Kenshin live action trilogy (which was shot on, you guessed it, RED ! :p)
