Is it possible to get linear data from R3Ds?

You can use a color space transform node in Resolve to go from anything you want to linear. For RED footage you'll want to go RedWideGamutRGB and Log3g10 to Linear.

Yes.

They are captured in linear (I think all CMOS sensors are), and you can select it as your gamma in the raw settings (though you may have to enable 'show legacy gammas' in the settings tab of RCXp). I would think this would be a better method than CST, since it's not a conversion>unconversion and directly in the raw settings.

You can export EXR direct from red cine as well
