Historically new Resolve version was always introduced at NAB, which is normally in April. That initial introduction usually follows by about 6 months of public beta testing. Version 17 will be introduced in November, which is 8 months later than usual? So, I wonder, with this extra time, what chances version 17 this time will not be a beta?
Nah, who are we kidding? Of coarse it will be beta![]()
Jake,
I think maybe the pandemic probably had a major impact on that. It would be nice if it wasn't in beta when it was released , but it will most likely be in Beta. However, they may surprise us!
I hope they fix the sensitivity on snapping like the one in premiere wich You rarely turned of. Also a fix so you can jump back and fourth between clips like normal. As long you have no clips selected it works, but Im so tired of the extra step to unselect all clips. Throw in the problem with gpu memory that can appear when using a denoiser. Those are my top three pics. But of course I hope to se some new cool features to.
Joel,
We'll know something Monday. Hopefully they will fix those problems you mentioned above and hopefully we see amazing new features as well.
Apple and BM making announcement at the same time... Coincidence? I think not! My guess, Resolve running on new MacBook with Apple silicon inside is the main gist of the announcement...
That would be very interesting. Maybe much better support for ProRes Raw than any other NLE and many more Raw parameters.
