No. Have you seen the news about the situation in Southern California? Where ambulances have been instructed to use crisis protocols to decide who to pick up and who to leave at home to die because people are dying in the ambulances since there isn't capacity or space to treat them?
THAT is the situation surrounding Red right now. It's disrupting all sorts of things including shipping; a lot of shipping has been dalayed by weeks because of the resulting congestion, and that's not within Red's control. If Red can't obtain parts quickly enough, it can't scale up production, and no amount of effort on their part can change that.
I know we're all anxious to get our cameras. That's always the case with new gear; it's exciting and waiting for it is a trial. That's natural... but blaming Red for not scaling up production because of a global crisis isn't productive.
Black Magic's production throughout the pandemic has been far better, it's true. Let's see if you can figure out why. I'll give you a hint: BMD is an Australian company with manufacturing in Singapore.
