Its nice however, I will wait for ProMax 13
The video image doesn't quite have the fidelity of a larger sensor, but it's impressive to get this level of performance from such a small camera. I mean, it's not like we're expecting Monstro quality from an iPhone. You could do a lot worse than the new iPhones for photography.
"I love the wide lenses that allow the images to be immersive, to have a focus in-depth, to make the audience feel that you are right there." Cinematographer Emmanuel Lubezki
So is the new thing going to be deep depth of field (like Citizen Kane) instead of shallow?

Strange that apple does not put more money for their promotion material than enough to cover for a DP, a horse, a girl and a trip to the desert. Its after all one of the most prosperous companies in the world.
When I downloaded the 4K version of Shot on iPhone 12 Lubezki behind the scenes film, and watched it on my iMac 5K, I was pretty wowed actually. Much more than when I watched the keynote t on my (admittedly, 7 year old HD-) plasma tv.
Wanted to go for a smaller Pro, but with the camera improvements of the Max I'm thinking of going Big again (I have an 8 plus now).
I was *really* expecting 'portrait mode for video' though, with the Lidar sensor and the computation photography. I'm really dissapointed they didn't do that...
I did love the underwater plexiglass idea. Hadn't seen that before, great hack.
Ha, can't believe they stuck it on that huge drone
Beautiful. The best camera is the one that's with you. I can imagine myself exploring the world with that phone and tiny gimbal, wherever the adventure takes me.
