I see BHPhoto and Adorama are selling Komodo as dealers. I'm curious if it's any faster ordering through Red directly. I want to go the fastest route.
Exciting times! The queue probably got longer in the interim, but I placed my order today. I guess Red must have gotten the kinks sorted out nicely, since the ordering process was quite easy, including getting my Hydrogen discount, so now it's jut back to semi-patiently waiting. At least I'll have plenty of time to get some CF cards and batteries and such while I wait. :)
I reached out with a support request on red.com. I was contacted by Kyle in London. You can also go into your RED account on the red.com website to check on your order. In my account the first order I made in dollar has been cancelled and replaced with an order in Euros. My place in line is supposed to be the same as for the first order.
I still get an error when I want to add the Komodo to my cart:
if I then try it again, I suddenly have two komods in my cart.ERROR

I am trying to order for quite some time now, but it just doesn't work
If you try calling the Red office directly ask for a sales rep, you should be able to get in touch with Kyle's vacation backup and get things sorted out. That's been my experience in the past when I was ordering my first Red camera. My regular rep was out when I was ready to pull the trigger, so his backup picked up the quote and sorted out the transaction details for me.
I ordered my body only Komodo from Maxx digital . Last week and they shipped it out on Monday arriving tomorrow
