Phil you bastard What’s your favorite drink? I need your secrets haha. I’ve been speaking to Vazen who I’m a dealer for and I know they are workin on a PL version of their lenses. But the prices will supposedly be much higher. Rokinon has been working on a xeen anamorphic lens for years now, but haven’t heard anything since 2018.

These smaller companies making sub $1k anamorphic really need to look at the market better. I’m wondering too if it’s a licensing issue, but even if it was, PL mounts don’t have license holds, so why not design for it?

This sirui lens actually looks very good image wise, which is shocking considering SLR magic and others have lenses that are 6x the price, and perform poorly.

That doesn’t solve any of the issues we are discussing here though

I have the 50mm for my Fuji. Really wished they would of made it compatible. It’s a cool lens.

I just got it for some urban night photography, just for the look. It's fun. I've only been out one night though to test it:

How are they with chromatic aberration? Anything pronounced?

I've seen lots of stuff shot with this lens and of course price is a factor in this, but almost all shots are blurry in the focus plane. I wish people shot stuff with it at T2.8 or something instead of T1.8, so we can see how it behaves in sharpness. Even prime anamorphic lenses have a T-stop around 3.0 so if the lens is sharp at T2.8, that's very good.
