Helium or Monstro? they got different photosite denisties which gives you the following.

    Monstro 8k HD = 8K HD 7680x4320 1.78:1 38.40x21.60mm
    Monstro 4k HD =3840x2160 1.78:1 19.20x10.80mm
    Helium 8k HD= 7680x4320 1.78:1 28.03x15.77mm
    Helium 4k HD= 3840x2160 1.78:1 14.02x7.88mm

Phil´s tool here is very convinient to get such data, you need to go in and click him a coffe :)

also all the data is stored in the r3d metadata when you shot, so yes your Cg guys if they are competent should have no probs figuring it out.
