It does have some intense magenta almost reminiscent of some of Sony's sensors but it's definitely not the cameras fault. It's clearly the grade / colorist. To each your own...
Maybe in 1922 people were just, uh...more purple? That's my best guess.
It's like the wrong colorspace has been choosen.

It looks like ACES was used. Here's my attempt to correct it.

Not really, I tried a 50/50 yellow/Red for skin but it brought back the Yellow on the right side of hiis face, the girl's forehead, the yellow in the paper of the book and the hair of the dog so..........
The reason I guessed ACES was from looking at the Vectorscope and the way the blue's shadow area looked. I personally only see that in an ACES workflow of ProRes images of red footage. But I could be wrong.

Also "Company 3" graded this so it's kind of hard to believe they did something wrong.
