I am typing this post on the machine you are asking about. I have the MacBook Pro (16-inch,2019), 2.4 GHz 8-Core Intel Core i9, 64 GB 2667 MHz DDR4, Intel UHD Graphics 630 1536 MB. I don't do much editing on this machine, but with FCPX, it flies compared to Resolve. Multicam is no go, but I do edit 8K single camera stuff and don't have much trouble at all. I like to make proxies inside FCPX (as opposed to in the camera) and that works well enough to do Multicam on the laptop. YMMV.

I have a maxed out 16” MacBook Pro as well. I shoot 8k and edit on our machine all the time. I came from a maxed out iMac a few years old and this laptop blows that out of the water. I couldn’t be happier with this purchase.

Switched back to not decoding on GPU as it is often slower (in Resolve).... shame

Metal GPU debayer and decode is usefull for rushes creation as it is about 33% faster (for a 8k Monstro decoding test I did)... BUT for general Gradeing and editing I switch over to debayer only and leave the GPU some capacitiy left over for other tasks

    I have a friend looking.

I tried to search this stuff and pricing is insane.
