    Julian,

I hadn't notice it before but I just saw under one of your screengrabs about you not having any trouble with a 5K export. I have always exported OpenEXR files at their original resolutions. This is just a guess but maybe it has something to do with down-rezzing an OpenEXR file from its original resolution or maybe its the down-res ratio of going from 5k to 4k or 2k that the OpenEXR has a problem with. I don't really know, I would just export the EXR file at it's resolution and place it on a timeline of the resolution you want to deliver in. In your case, a 4096x2160 timeline.

Maybe Try one of the Compression modes instead of "NONE"

Page 15 talks about the different types of Compressions there benefits and trade-offs if file size was the reason for exporting out at 4096x2160

Yes, it works when exporting as 5K! Thank you.

So, this is kind of a bug right? If so how can I report it?
I tried no compression, zip, and DWAA, same bad result @4K.. I think the downsizing causes it.

Do you know by anychance how to define the frame number at the end of an export? Everytime I got: _0000000.exr. Is it possible to start at 1001 and only have 4 digits? Thank you!

    Julian,

This could be a bug or just the limitation of the OpenEXR export of Redcine-X. I hadn't been able or know of any way to change the export file name length.
