    Hey there,

I have a problem with my Rode VideoMic Pro. When I press record a ticking sound starts to come into the sound. If I am not recording, I do not hear the sound. So I only hear the sound when I'm recording. Does anyone know what could be causing this?

I tried different settings but didn't manage to find the solution.

    Any help would be great!

You need a Stereo to Mono splitter for DSMC1 and this mic. Or use something like the Wooden Camera A-Box.

I've cutted down the white cable to make it 'Mono'. Isn't that enough? If not, do you know a splitter you can recommand? Cheers
