Anybody finding that they might need lens support for their Epic / Dragon's when using Sigma's 70-200 Sport/ Using the EOS/EF aluminum mount.

Yes, if using gears for sure. I use this little support by Smallrig. Zacuto and Wooden camera make their versions too.

Do you know, Hal, if the non-removable mounting bracket on the Sigma 70-200 sport would interfere with this SmallRig mount?

Generally, this type of support bracket you would put forward on the attached lens foot location. There's plenty of space between the zoom and focus rings, even when I have a wireless motors on each ring. I really love that lens.

Thanks Hal. The lens should arrive tomorrow. I'm looking at SmallRig's base plates for the Red Epic but only finding plates for the DSMC2 platforms. I'm wondering if these plates might function on the Epic.
