Indeed. By know I'm excited about any bigger size with KOMODO... it will be awesome... The challenge here is for the little gigs to find the know how of 2 or 3 tight compact setups for the big gaps between bigger productions...

Sliders are super interesting now to the point I would love to be able to test them all... I mean Edelkrone has Jibs you build onto your tripod... motorized that can make lots of things interesting...

I'm sure that with all of the third-party manufacturers for after-market products for the Komodo out there , that we will see many other innovative product ideas over the next few months.

Maybe we'll see some more awesome handgrip alternatives from Red, GDU or other third-party vendors for more customization options for the Red Komodo.

Maybe RED will use those pins for some type of LIDAR link to greatly improve autofocus. Or maybe this LIDAR link could give distance info to a motorized focus pulling unit by RED or most any other company and it would automatically pull focus based on its distance readings kinda like DJI's "Raveneye".

LIDAR would be cool, but honestly I'm hoping more for some real audio options. A couple XLRs with phantom power and a clean preamp would be very useful.

Maybe a streamlined Version of the DSMC 2 "Production Module" that would be more appropriate for Komodo's smaller size, without perhaps most of the SDI in's and out's but Primarily the XLR jacks and maybe a few other modern ports. Maybe they could work out some third-party deal with Sound Devices.
