    While lighting and lens choice certainly influence it, I think that the "cinematic" feeling of the first clip comes down significantly to the camera movement. The DP does a good job activating the foreground or creating a sense of parallax so that it feels dynamic.
    In the second clip, I agree that the lighting has something to do with the sense sometimes that there's a "video" feel. But I also think it's about the wide angles with a lot of stuff in focus. Nothing wrong with that look-- big series and movies have used it--, it just has some associations with the video world.

    Hi all, first post here, a big hello from Belfast in Ireland. Just wanted to say thanks to this community for educating me on the wiles of the Komodo, I have just ordered one and am eagerly awaiting its arrival.
