So haven't been following in absolute detail and there's a lot to go through.

Has there been any nod to a Stills mode for Komodo? Or would regular record be enough (global shutter v useful here)
What's the boot time like at the moment?
Does it have a low power mode, so like a wake from sleep?
What's the PPI on the top display like, is there a chance to focus off it?
Is it a full global shutter or just v v fast readout?

    Just curious,

    Cheers

I was on the list for a stormtrooper, but then I had a shoot coming up and I purchased the 1dx iii as an interim until I can get a Komodo, but then I missed the mark for stormtrooper :(

Is there any update on the black models like even a date estimate?

Sadly I think the stormtrooper list has closed but idk

I don’t think you can, but I assume if you have gotten the first email from Clark, then you are confirmed and just have to wait

It's around $7500 with tax and your method of shipping

^ this is correct, but this is also the price for limited edition (so far) and Stormtrooper White bodies. Production Black cams will be a lower/different price.

Does anyone know what the whole thing with the hydrogen is. I own one and I don’t know if that discount will come with the production models or after. And do I just need my serial number?

I assume this hasn’t been addressed yet as we haven’t seen the production models yet, but it would be nice to know if the discount will come on time with the production models or if I should just get a Komodo on release date and sell my hydrogen

Original Hydrogen owners get BLACK PRODUCTION Komodo's for $4995. That was the last known info. You can't have bought it from someone on eBay. You have to be the original buyer from Red. I don't know if you need to own it still to get the discount.

The first post in this thread (1 year anniversary yesterday), Jarred said about Komodo, (Note: - It is not under $5k, unless you own a Hydrogen.)

    - It is not DSMC3
    - It is not a replacement for DSMC2
    - It is not 8k VV
    - It is not a Dragon or a Helium or a Gemini or a Monstro Sensor
    - It does not have an HDMI port
    - It does not use proprietary media
    - It is not a “module”
    - It is not under $5k, unless you own a Hydrogen.
    - It has no XLR ports
    - It does not have a fixed lens
    - It’s body does not weight more than 2 pounds.
    - It is not larger than 4 inches in any dimension.

I'm late to the party... can someone PM me clark's email? I want to see if I can still get on the list for a stormtrooper or two. Thanks!
