Aputure just announced the Aputure LS 600d that is still in prototype but are aimed on release in Qt1 2020. Love the small form factor of it.

Just a comment on photometrics here. I own a few Aputure lights and really am trying to do everything LED these days.

My approximate HMI equivelants of Aputures range of hard lights:
    - The 300D MK I = About 400W HMI
    - The 300X MK I = About 400W HMI and moves across output levels between the maximum range of each side of bi-color
    - The 300D MK II = About 575W HMI
    - The 600D MK I = About 800W HMI, they might squeeze more out of it by shipping, closer to maybe 1000-ish W HMI. They need to not set the bloody thing on fire if you want the bulb to last.

If you are looking to boost the output if you're going into diffusion or blasting light through a window look at the Fresnel or Spotlight Attachments which focus the beam and provide more punch.

I do hope that ballast gets a smidge smaller, but no biggy for something this size. I do wish for semi-quiet operation either way.

The real value here is running several of these off of house power, 2 or 3 possible here in the US depending on things. They should run relatively cool, but I betcha it's warm in front of these at close range for sure.

And the bigger benefits are full dimming, instant on, very long bulb life, flicker free across the dim range.

As an owner of the 500W Forza, which is damn impressive, this one from Apurture is going to kick ass.

Any chance of a group buy for the 600d, 300d mark ii, or their new 2x1 light panel?

The panels are going to be $1500-$1600. As far as I know they have not released the price for the 600 d yet. Im guessing it will be around 2k
