Probably more than it should. Blackmagic is notorious for fixing hardware issues with software fixes. Remember the uneven magenta corners of the original Ursa Mini 4.6K? Software fix. The IR pollution that exists due to a not strong enough IR filter even when not using ND? Reduced with the Gen 4 color science. Moire/Aliasing have also been significantly reduced with the Blackmagic Raw updates.

I'm really starting to wonder if I should still hang on to my RED Epic MX at this point. Yes, I still have one of those, because not all of us can afford the new stuff ;)

Super cool and always great to have more options but I have to wonder about actual delivery of cameras. Seems like the BMPCC 4K is never available. This is one area of their company that has been a bit frustrating. Would love to see them improve delivery of cameras.

Grant Petty specifically covered this in his presentation. He said that their parts suppliers have run into slowdowns that affect their camera deliveries, and it's out of their hands.

And I don't think they forecast just how popular the P4K would be. I think they just can't keep up with demand as I'm sure lot of those parts have a long lead time for ordering.

I Think they are referring to dual iso architecture where it really changes the sensor sensitivity

I’m awaiting a power solution for those pocket cameras. I would love to see a ronin s power grip plate with two 12v hirose output and 2 rosettes to attach the grip left or right side.

What you think and what they are referring to does not remove the misleading nonsense of the formulation.

It's a dual gain architecture, presented through ISO reference. Gain affects what can be captured. Analog (real one) only. The rest is digital induced fantasia of post-production time travel, increasing sales figures while decreasing touch with reality.
