Yeah, compression ratios and framerate go hand-in-hand; if Komodo is a framerate limited camera, the compression ratios will probably be normal (maybe not 3:1 low, but not like 8:1 either).
My personal rule of thumb with r3d compression has been to use a K:1 ratio (E.g. 8k is ideal at 8:1, 6k at 6:1, 4k at 4:1, etc.), but that's only for 1:1 viewing. If you're downscaling (or recompressing to a low-bitrate delivery codec), you could get away with quite a bit more. 6k recompressed to 4k HEVC will pretty much look the same whether its 6:1 or 12:1.
Well, 6k WS = 6144x2592, which it does at 50fps. And 5k FF is 5120x2700... Ooooooouf, it's gonna be tight. (At the very least 5k 2:1 will be good to go at 50fps).

who's going to make the first flip up hard cover for that monitor, that thing is going to need some protection!
hopefully it at least comes with something attachable/detachable for packing and rigging etc.
now if you cracked that, youve cracked your camera.
- Lens Mount = Integrated Canon RF Mount (easy to adapt to nearly anything)
Easy, but is it expensive? Anything else to consider?
Since this has a smartphone screen wifi all the bells and whistles. What about privacy? Can you remove the antennae if you want say, a camera. Like the cameras of the past 100 years and all of human experience?
I will getting one but what about that, privacy. Ability to be hacked.
If it has an antenna and the wifi it's not safe.
