  1. #1 Best OS for 2012 Mac Pro?
    Hi Y'all

    I've got a 2012 MP/12core @3.3/64GB/NVIDIA 980Ti running El Capitan. I use Premiere to edit 4K projects.

I want as many of the new OS features without sacrificing speed [and my experience is old OS's work better on old machines]. What's the most recent OS you'd recommend for me?

    Thanks
    Murray

To be able to run the latest FCPX, Premiere, etc., you want to be on the latest OS available to take advantage of the newest features.

With that said, High Sierra still runs the latest version of Final Cut.

I run High Sierra on mine. I have Nvidia as well, so Mojave is not an option.

I've kept mine on El Capitan. No need to update that this point.
