Knowing DSMC3 is far out, I may make the plunge to Gemini as well! After seeing street food, I am sold.

Is the production module the best all around accessory?

Who wants to start a Gemini group buy! ;)

Very interested in this "specialty" camera. I wonder what this could be and when it is coming. I am hoping for a smaller lighter camera for this.

And as per the phone camera comment.... As I said in that post referenced, I am also making a different "specialty" camera but It's not going to be anything like what was shown over by the Hydrogen team. I'm sure some people will make it their A camera for some things, but for most of you here, that will be more likely be a C camera/D camera/2nd unit camera.
Well, this cleared a lot up for me as well. Thanks.

Yes, Jarred's post has really clarified the matter. And that 'little' camera does sound interesting.

Jarred, will some DSMC2 accesories work on DSMC3 bodies? I am mainly interested in V LOCK I/O Expander :) Thanks

Hello RED family... it's been a while... crazy year busy...

Can't wait for RED DSMC3, although I am very happy with my Helium 8K S35...

Also, looking forward for a RED hydrogen module to have it as a B-Cam or C-Cam in the near future...

Cheers and happy weekend to all the RED Family...

Can't wait to shoot my next film at 8K

Interesting read this. Toying with upgrading my Scarlet W to the Dragon-X, but stuck between going the the extra mile and upgrading to the Gemini.

Yes Josh, this is what I decided to do. But then that 'extra mile' can be quite a bit further than anticipated. Due to the size of the 34.73mm sensor on Gemini you might need to rethink lenses as well. Suddenly my everyday workhorse (Canon 17-120mm) vignettes, so too does the 50-1000 that I have my eye on, the Tokina 11-20mm is out as is numerous other S-35 lenses. Obviously one needs to check all this carefully.

And maybe that's sufficient argument for Dragon-X ?
