    Joe, that is terrible that that had happened. Lets hope karma comes around to the person or persons involved in your deception.

    I was given strong advice once I had made the decision to purchase a used camera off of RedUser. Request that the camera be sent to Red for a full evaluation prior to the sale and that you are kept in the loop as to the condition. One the camera checks out then the monies can trade hands an the camera shipped to you direct from Red.

    If the seller doesn't agree....walk away

    I filed a report with them earlier in the week, and yeah, insurance won't cover it. You have to retain specific cyber crime insurance for these kinds of instances, and even that is tricky due to the fact that I initiated the transfer of funds. It's a cluster fuck but I really appreciate you all responding. Really hoping this doesn't happen to anyone else, if they catch the asshole, even better.
