Kipper Tie IR Spectrum OLPF V1 vs V2

Anyone own the V1 IR Spectrum OLPF from Kipper Tie, and have it upgraded to V2? Was it worth it/big enough improvement vs V1 to upgrade? I have owned a V1 for a couple of years now, and was contemplating V2, but the upgrade price has me questioning (especially with the pound/dollar exchange rate)... I have enjoyed V1, and it’s a drop in the bucket comparatively speaking, but wondering if anyone that has upgraded feels that the jump is worth it.

You should send a PM to John Marchant as he could probably best explain the differences.
I had to upgrade when I changed sensors in my camera so it was a no brainer for me......Yeah I just said I have no Brain...

I noticed a difference in that there are not as bad flairs when shooting in to lights or fire light which is significant. If your shooting fires at night or lights shot in to the lens. Id imagine there are some better scratch resistance or more durable coatings. I don't really want to test that though.
Maybe there are some changes to the filter frame in that it might have been changed to minimize gate flair or shadow..
