I am having a problem when importing and trying to label my R3D files.
I am getting individual clips and entire folders that will NOT allow me to label anything in the metadata.
If i try to label a clip in the metadata, the error "The file is busy, and couldn't be updated" pops up.
If I then save the project and re-open it, the metadata is no longer there.
I am getting folders that have only a few clips that can't be labeled, entire folders that can't be labeled, and sometimes entire folders where only one or two clips can be labeled.
Adobe has been ZERO help with this issue saying that it is a common bug and it will be fixed in the next update. Doubtful...

    Anyone else experiencing this issue?

    Same here!
The Premiere option 'Write XMP data to files on import' gives the error: 'The file is busy, and couldn't be updated.'
Probably a metadata write issue in the .R3D - RED Files...?
