I signed up for infos about 3 years ago when Redrock first announced this at NAB, there was even a video and a product demo, looked amazing but so far no news, no reviews, nothing.

If it was vaporware you wouldn't be able to order it online as the link in the OP's post clearly shows.

I think the problem with this system is that it attempts to find a hardware solution for an issue which is starting to be solved by advances in face detection technology, so from a commercial point of view it may be a dead end investment.

Face detection is not much help if you have no faces in your shot. lol.

True, but Halo was mostly marketed on the premise that you do.
Pulling focus with inanimate objects has always been easier to control than with human beings.

My point was, you can have platy of humans and still not see there faces.

I am also not arguing for halo, but I do believe as well there is a lot of space for innovation on the pulling focus tech end.
I wish there was something like small tracking device that you can put on a actor or hide in a car and use for gimbal and focus to track.

I just got it delivered today. It is no longer vaporware. Still need to set everything up though and test it out.
