    Nice idea.

Personally i would like the control and the buttons on the top, not the side with the pogo replicated on the side.

I use an EVF here but because the EVF is really designed for people with right master eyes then i have a wooden camera quick release there to push the EVF out a bit for my Left eye master. But it could do with being pushed out a bit more and something like this would be useful. I find the touch screen a right pain at times so physical buttons and that joypad would really help...

So buttons on top and the connections replicated on the side : super useful.

Then nirvana would be achieved if that EVF mount could slide forwards and back but i don't think that's electronically possible...

    cheers

I’d get that in a heartbeat! I’d much rather have buttons on the operator side of the camera-never used the Sidekick for that reason

Do you know if the POGO interface is enabled to manage a control interface too and not just EVF/LCD/HDMI signal with touch control embedded?
All I know is that any RED monitor you attach has assignable buttons that work, not just touch screen, so it seems likely that its possible.

Also, does anyone know of anything third party, that can add extra buttons?
    Button + Option A/B + REDLink API

    A) https://www.adafruit.com/product/3500 : Wire up a Serial Lemo plug.
    B) https://www.particle.io/products/hardware/photon-wifi : Connect over Wifi.
