Here is something we worked on during 2017.

Shot on 3 Heliums for over 100 something showing days shooting.

Lead DP Crille Forsberg decided to go with his rehoused Cooke pancros and then some recoated to match Angie zooms and heliums set to 7k´s not to get dark corners on the wide ends.

It was a total of 10 episodes 45 minutes each. (Which I dont have premision to show as they behind a pay wall at the network still)

Most of it was finished far before IPP2 was out of beta so bear with some what flaked highlights handout of gamut stuff. It would look different if done today.

I find it quite amusing that they could work this way, helium lets you run around shoot at nights with little or no light and things looks smashing.

And the budget for this was not like Netflix or HBO, more a cooperation between some small european networks. Still it was no problem for us to deal with the post side of things using two trashcans and an old mac and the way we set it up we could actually, now when all is done just hit render and we would get it all out in 7k no problem.

But as of now its all mastered in UHD.

Here is a link to an extended trailer we made.

4k vimeo looks splendid I think, watch it on my 4k home projector, and everyone that says HD holds up need to rethink their thinking :)

Some parts was shot on 35 for estetic reasons.

Wow. This looks amazing. Great job, my dude. What ISO, f/stop, shutter were you using for your night shots? Did you have to do any post denoising? The night stuff looks incredibly clean (on mobile).

They shot all kinds of high iso, often 6400 and such. No denoise used and no grain added. There was some descussions about it but leaddirector Amir Chamdin desided to keep it as shot. Which I think was a good decision.

Looks awesome. Love the Scandie look. Quite a bit of noise texture that totally suits the genre but shooting at 6400asa explains that. Looking forward to seeing it in 4K.

The shots with most grain are actuall shot on film, taken from the intro which was shot on film and pushed a bit to display a more grungy look. Something we for sure could have created digitally in post but DP and director was exited to roll on celuiod.

the link is 4k if your screen can handle just adjust settings.

This was all done a while back when most helium cams where white and the ipp2 colorsience was beta. But I just uploaded it as full 4k prores files, which looks really smashing on Vimeo I have to say.

Lensed by Crille Forsberg with his Cooke pancros. We did the 7k to UHD online, gradevfx and mastring.

He used his crocodile light filters a lot which gives a pretty cool base to grade from, makes it all a bit gritty in the colors.

    First of ten episodes.
