Finally testing as I finally ordered one. I know, a year and a half too late.

Curious in particular of PL Mount users, Monstro, and what glass people are using.

I'll have 8-10 sets of glass tested by Wednesday.

    Hiya guys
Just wondering does the Red EVF with their arm fit together with Revolva. Can you switch a casette when the EVF is attached?
Edit: Just read that if you have this you can attach the Red EVF arm so that sounds good. Anyone can confirm?

That is how I have mine, you need to take off the EVF using the quick release Woodencamera as quoted to change cassettes, which is a little bit of a bother but works well.

Aha, yes that is a bit of a pain but acceptable I guess. I just got the new Cassette that has 0,2,4,7 as ND so maybe that will mean we will switch less. I rarely use the 4,5,6,7 but sometimes.

I keep switching between 0,1,2,3 all the time though.
On another note how good does the EVF work if you have glasses? I tested it and liked the image, but I have never used it in the field.

    Cheers,
    Andreas

Does anyone else have lens commuication issues with their Revolvas? My Canon L 24-70 2.8 as well as 24-105 L go in and out with iris and focus controls. The contacts all seem clean and I have other EF lenses that seem to communicate just fine. And found solutions?

We have had a handful of customers for whom some lenses work OK and others don't. We use the original PCB from Red, so there's not much control that we have over this. We have had occasional issues with regular EF mounts in the past too, so its not unheard of.

Solution in most cases where hardware rediscovery / remount / re-clearning is unsuccessful has been for us to swap the PCB or the contact pins out for a new part.

Contact my team via kippertie.com for support and we can set up an RMA if needed. Bear in mind that RED are currently not shipping parts due to the shutdown, so there may be a delay if a replacement PCB is indeed required.
FWIW we test communication on every mount prior to delivery using a Canon L 16-35, 24-70 and 70-300 to cover data, control and IS.
