Thanks Misha. In my world, when moving a lot of short form projects in and out, and keeping the hero media data local for match-back (re-link), TB3 is more practical than 2x 10GigE.

Does anyone have any new information on TB3 cables over 2m? I'm still dreaming of having my RAID's in another room.
Yep! I posted that. They are coming from Corning as well as another manufacturer. Will try to post them here later! But yes, I personally held them in my hand.
I shoulda grabbed these and ran!
There has been a lot of work on these by Corning and Intel. They’re trying to make them a whole lot more robust than the TB2 version. Which is now discontinued, mostly because the failure rate was so high. It’s been a long time coming.
But can they do 40Gbits/s on longer runs?
Or do they fall back to 20Gbits/s beyond 1.6 feet?
