Hi guys, I am having problem on EPIC-X and RED MX,
I saw small spot on the footage long time ago and now I got the vertical lines on the Epic footage and Red epic camera display that persist on the recorded footage also. The color of the line varies from blue to green. I have tried all possible ways to fix it but that couldn't help me so far.
I have attached some snaps that I have got in my camera display and footage. Please check it out.
Also I found red color (Like sun Glare on the lens) bottom on the footage of Red mx Camera.
    Thanks

You seem to have cought a direct laser beam at event. It burns the sensor just like on your shots.

Red reflections from light sources are a common thing to happen on MX sensors - it's an OLPF reflection of a light source.

There is no easy fix to this, and I think RED announced MX support to be End Of Life.
Life is good. So is RED...

Specifically, they said that they can no longer guarantee parts but will service older units as parts are available.

There have been other threads about sensor damage and the cost of replacement is in excess of $5000, so at this point it would be cheaper to buy a used RED ONE.

As for the Epic-X, brains are selling for around $7K, so it would effectively be a wash one way or the other.
