Michael from Wooden Camera reached out to me, and hopefully we can get my issue resolved. Didn't mean to slag off WC's stuff, the other stuff I've bought from them have been awesome! :)

If you reverse-engineer these protocols without the "blessing" of the owner, then you're out of luck when the protocols change. And it's well within RED's right to change those protocols whenever they want, and however they want, especially if the codebase has changed significantly, as with this IPP2 update. If WC's battery plate never had official approval to use the protocols, then it's not fair to blame Red for this. It seems like WC have realized this and are now engaging with RED to certify their products, as you can see that they've already done so with their Easy Top. I've actually had issues with the Pass-Through Top Plate and thinking of getting rid of it and replacing it with the Easy Top, but it's all on me because I chose to not use a RED-approved accessory.

    Tom,

Good advice on the Redmags although in my experience I can usually mount the Redmags after a power failure although the last file is always unreadable. It may also depend on the OS you are running on your computer? Anyone initialising their Redmags with the UDF format will have a different experience.

Scot, please contact RED support, and I am sure they will want log files.

    Brad,

Thankyou for clearing up the correct order for changing calibration temperature. I am now reset and all ready for another record breaking summer

Updated firmware on my 8K s35 and found 2 issues:

    1. Fan out of control in adaptive quiet mode.
    2. Histogram won't change between RAW and Ipp2 with 709 output.

    other than that... all great....

If it's a hardware thing it should not be able to display 3D LUT whatsoever and the fact that we can monitor with a 17x17x17 3D LUT while recording is a proof that the SW is more than capable to do just that in playback mode. But I maybe wrong.
