Did everyone see they have 10% off on these right now?

Wish there was more footage and testing to see if it is worth the investment. Though they are on sale, they are still quite the investment to add to our camera systems and wish there was more information out there.

Yep I saw it! The price point even @ 10% off it still quite pricey w/o alot of images out. I upgraded to Scarlet-W in hope to potentially get this but the cost is just really high.

Been really quiet on this front. Anyone using these out in the wild yet?

The first units were delivered and are currently being used. I hope to get some footage from our clients soon. Next batch goes out on December 14th (December 17th for all non-EU customers since we have to get an export paper from the customs office).

Not sure if this has been answered yet. Are we able to change out the OLPFs ourselves or this something ABT has to modify before swapping out?

You can change the OLPF like on the regular RED mount by removing the mount. But the OLPF has to be the ABT one.

    Lots of crickets.

As much interest as this item has, including myself, I'm really bummed with the lack of material on it. And with the price tag it carries, what kind of leap of faith are we suppose to take??

There's ONLY ONE video out there that really doesn't give us much to gauge from.

Any other material other than this video?

    Dear REDusers,

in the last months, we shipped several SpeedMounts and hope to receive soon some footage that we can post here.

Some of you might have already heard that Hanse Inno Tech had and has some problems (I can't go into details, but if anyone still has Celere lenses or other items there for repair, you can contact me and I'll try to help you out).

Due to this situation, we had to stop our cooperation with Hanse Inno Tech and will release soon (late March) a mk2 version of the SpeedMount. The optics will remain the same. The mechanics will be a redesign. Other than a different look, not much will change for the PL version (biggest update will be the compatibility with the Sigma Cine PL lenses), but the EF version will receive a total redesign, especially regarding the EF bayonet pin (all SpeedMount customers will get an email from me regarding an upgrade).

We still have a couple of SpeedMount PL mk1 with Standard or Low Light OLPFs in stock. Please let me know if you're interested in a unit at a strongly discounted price.

Again, I'm sorry for not posting more information about the SpeedMount in the last weeks, but we had our hands full with figuring out a way forward without Hanse Inno Tech.

    All the best

    David

PS: Nicholas James received a demo unit and due to his feedback we realized that early RED Dragon Mg and Scarlet-W cameras have issues with our custom OLPF holder (James" Scarlet-W #5291 worked while #1584 didn't). We are in contact with RED to solve the issue and to figure out which serial numbers have the old design.
