Rectilux customers will know that proceeds from Rectilux sales get re-invested in research toward building anamorphic primes and also mechanical improvements. The photo below is the first of many prototypes of Dominion anamorphic glass, to test optical quality and manufacturing quality and custom processes. It therefore represents the first step toward Rectilux becoming an established designer and supplier of anamorphic lenses and cells in a variety of sizes.

    Great!
Hope you can make some amazing glass at an affordable price!
    I'd like a ~35-45mm and a ~75-85mm @ ~T1.5-2.0 :)

(-if the price is right, I'll buy the first two right now, before they are even made, as I know you make great quality glass)

This is great news. All anamorphic lenses atm are crazy priced. Hope you can make something affordable.
Do you know when you can release them? Or even when you got a working prototype?

15mm ANA?!? Sounds absolutely wild! At S35 coverage or maybe even more?

Not making a formal request or anything, but I am very interested in anamorphics that will cover the Helium at 8k 6:5. I think it could be a really amazing format.

    Excited to follow the progress.

Just FYI, pretty much every anamorphic lens made for 35mm film will cover 100% the 8K 6:5.. Helium's sensor size is not as tall as 4-perf 35mm.

Hi Joe, this is first step, mainly concentrating on manufacturing quality and production issues, after that pricings can be understood better
