Just to let people know who may not so familiar with S16: This is an excellent lens when mentained. I've got the later grey one and use it on a regular base for doc work. It fits 2.5 K sensor size (3K cropped down to 2.5K) which again can be scaled down to 1080p without any resolution loss (debayerfactor .08). It does cover 2K as well of course. Optically it's as good as the new Canon Cine Style HD Zooms, hardly any CA and for a zoom only very little breathing. Because of it's range - starting with a wide 8mm - it's very versatile.

In Europe the grey model with its I think slightly improved coatings sells approx. 5.5. to 6K, in USD go figure.

can you please explain me how you do your framing if you shoot 3k with a s16 lens and then crop to 2.5 k working for 16:9
