As the title says, since a few updates sigmas 18-35 doesn't work anymore with either reds thc (DSMC 1), fool control or RTmotion (DSMC2). As soon as we come to infinity its stuck there. No more movement to closer range. Lens motor wants to move but cant.

On epic-X it worked on firmware 5.xxx. Since I updated (stupid me) it doesn't.
    Raven same problem.
    Weapon carbon same problem.

We also tried 2 different 18-35 lenses. Same problem.

Is there a workaround/fix to this?

Take the lens mount off and on and do a hardware reboot, might work.

Did it on epic and weapon...even changed them between cameras.
Am I the only One who has this problem with his 3 cams?

My 18-35mm seems to crash or something when controlling it using a gentwire redpro102 cable through my futaba RC receiver, on my Scarlet-W (aerial application)

it will work for a bit then consistently crash into a nonresponsive state where the screen readout shows the focal length as something ridiculous like "65483mm" and the focus stuck on "inf"

    Same crash as we have.
Wasn't there till some of the later updates.
Since then we use the 24-35 2.0 which is sharper but I still need the 18mm/20mm

On the latest firmware- Experiencing crash on my sigma 18-35mm with RT-motion latitude and weapon MG. Camera does not seem to recognize the lens no matter what I do. Tried rediscovering and reinitation.

With the MK3.1 controller linked to the latitude it seems to work for focus until I try and change the aperture slider on the controller. Then everything stops working.

I suppose I will try to rollback firmware on the weapon.

Before I spend half my day today rolling back firmware and creating new black shade calibrations, only to learn it wont do a dam thing... can anyone out there let me know if they have a Red Weapon/scarlet/raven that recognizes their sigma 18-35mm canon mount. If so what firmware are you on? Go to settings>setup>lens>metadata and see if it recognizes it as a sigma or just says unknown lens.

    Thank you!
