Thats messed up. I wonder if its the 12:1 compression? If so, it doesn't usually look like that though.

Is it showing when exporting to 16 bit TIFF?

    Don't look at it then.

Sorry, I had to say this.
Maybe it's just a single glitchy frame (shot), can't tell...

Yep. This is a weird one. I've looked at the R3D and haven't seen anything like that before. I'd open up a support ticket from here. Might be fixable via firmware, might not.

Thanks Phil for your time. I forward the R3D file to RED support, waiting to hear back from them.

So two issues: CA from the lens visible around the edges of the face. That is typical with a wide-open lens. The green jagged pattern is not normal and Red Support need to see this. Please make sure a support ticket is filed and mention that I've seen the R3D.

    Same problem here!

I have a RED Scarlet-W and today I've noticed about this problem. Almost all the footage I shoot today is unusable. Also, I've been checking all my latest footage and I found this problem in a more subtle way in other scenes.
    I'm using XEEN lenses.
