Can't get clean image

Set up camera for the first time today and shot a couple tests with RED 1998 onto a raid drive.

All the images came out like this, where the lower half of the picture is just a noisy mess.

I am using an imac 2ghz intel core duo that has OS 10.4.11. I used quicktime 7.5.. Don't have final cut.

Am I doing anything obviously wrong?

You might want to try posting that picture again...

I don't even have to see the picture to know what the issue is. First, please read the forum to understand this issue. In fact, if you read the manual, you'd know this issue. You shot 16:9 which proxies don't currently support. To see all the information, you need to open the clips up in RedCine.
