I know Switronix is coming out with their new slims, but is there any other economical alternatives for v-mount batteries that are rated for RED? Slim ones?

Doubt that you'll find slim ones for cheap as its a somewhat new technology. Switronix hypercore slim seems like a pretty good price in my opinion though. There are these Chinese Power U 130w batteries I've read about here on Reduser and its intriguing. They take near a month to ship however.. I too am looking for an affordable V-mount system to invest in.

I use 90w slim versions from GlobalMediaPro.
    They last about three years.

    Hey Paul,

Are you talking about the ''GlobalMediaPro Li95S-HW-R Lithium Ion Battery 95wh for Red Camera'' batteries?
Or have they actually released slim versions of their batteries?

    Cheers!

The GlobalMediaPros look great, and it could save me a few hundred bucks on a dual battery/charger set up over Switronix. Is this "RED approved" if such thing exists?

I have the 160wH versions and they work great on my Scarlet-X for the past two years!
In-camera information is supported if you choose the ''for RED Camera'' batteries.

The globalmediapros are great but we have to wait to see if they will fit in the Vlock expander. Personally I don't think they will.

Can you use v-mount batteries with the DSMC Battery Belt Clip or is it with Red Brick only.
