I was wondering if the 8k weapon could use rehoused hasselblad lenses like the Alexa 65 does? And from the Alexa65 page the lenses sound like the new H lenses? I'm just wondering because we have a set of these and if there was an option to rehouse and use it on a weapon 8k would be so cool..

Arri's rehoused 65mm glass do indeed appear to be based on the "H" series glass.

They also have a "vintage" set based on the older CF/FE primes (ie "V").

We built a small CF/FE set of Hassy's already, and had them cinemodded by RP lens. They work very well with a Mirex EOS tilt adapter.

At the moment I am not modding the Hassies... I am buying the older CF/FE as Nick has done but I am using a mount converter. Maybe I will get more serious about cine mods later

Why buying hasselblad lenses ? most of them have slow f-stop and the f-stops are all over the place. thats one of the draw backs cinematographers talk about when using the new Alexa 65 and arris lenses. For Red 8k I think it would be better to rehouse vintage or really nice still glass they will cover as the 8k is basically full frame. You even can buy things like k35, FD's, leics I think they would be more suited then hasselblad.
