Anyone notice that the ACES IDT for RED in Resolve 11 has completely vanish ?

It seems that Blackmagic and RED still couldnt get into integration agreement.

How long more is this going to last ?

No, that's because Red doesn't explicitly require iDT as it is fully ACES compliant.
When you use Red material with ACES in Resolve proper IDT is automatically applied.

I worked with the Resolve team to help them use the SDK to get ACES data decoded directly from the R3D rather than having to go through an IDT.

Agreed, Graeme was a great help and Jake is also correct, the IDT is automatically applied for r3d files in v11. Leave your IDT settings at "no IDT".

Thanks Jake. Congrats to Graeme and Peter ! I'm sorry about what i said earlier about integration.

I just tried it and it turned out as you guys stated. No IDT needed. Finally no more EXR encoding !

    Kudos and Big Thanks !

Since this thread is about ACES support, it should also be mentioned that Red has also created an ACES Proxy monitor output for live grading in an ACES environment, which is quite accurate and works well (provided you understand what ACES proxy is........ ;-) )
