No DCP.
There was originally supposed to be a REDRAY PRO unit that would also support DCP and other forthcoming cinema distribution formats in addition to .RED. It seems to have dissipated into vaporware oblivion.
That's what I thought Jeff. Man, that would have been PERFECT for some applications!
What's up with redray anyway? How many shipped, how are people using them?
I've got a big Pelican case with a 4k display and Redray... we can turn footage around and play it for customers same day - for the sort of work we do (Engineering) it's VERY useful. The only thing that would be better is if I had a 4k projector. I think in the big scheme of things it's a dead end... but a useful one.

You could just download Peter Wimmer's stereoscopic player for €39 - it can play unencrypted DCPs.
