Any chance we can see this in motion? 1080p 100% scale would be awesome.

I really like how it looks more like film texture than digital noise with DEB on. Very excited to see some .R3D's or moving images. Thanks for the test and images as usual Phil!

    Seems so...
so there won't be a firmware fix to get rid of the red noise at the time of capture?
    This is the official fix?

also curious about this, did somthing change incamera also? What if i would want to record direct to prores with an external recorder, would i have the same amount of noise?
And also when can we expect a release version with dragoncolor and redgamma4?

To be honest, it's great there is DEB now. But it's getting too complicated with DEB, ADD, and all kinds of stuff people have to learn about. My clients who render stuff hardly understand redcine, the less options the easier for them.
I think it would be better to not even mention DEB, and integrate it in the firmware updates and rcx (and maybe make it a small menu preferences option to turn off) Just to keep stuff simple :)

i guess will be available on SDK as well ?

also, will be ON by default or as an option to be turned ON/OFF ? (wondering because of the Phil post (that mention ON or OFF , rather than OLD/NEW RCX )

    thanks

This is a nice option, thanks for the hard work.

I do agree with the point of keeping things simple, however. I'd be interested in learning what the practical reasons would be for disabling Dragon Enhanced Blacks?

I'm not sure when 1.3x Anamorphic de-squeeze was added to the epic firmware but today was a great day to find it. Lovely with my Hawk V-Lite 1.3x

    Cheers!

Thank you soo much for the hard and brilliant work, Greame and RED! How did you do this without touchinging the overall red colors (In Phils second picture you can see that the red tone of the chromatic effect in the highlight stays the same)? very nice!

The overall picture after DEB looks a bit sharper too me, right? That shows that its a very different approach then a post noise reduction, Daniel. (Phil also mentioned, that it happens in realtime! I love it!)

And thank you Phil and John for your steady help on this forum! You guys rock!

if you push saturation, you see the improvement very well, good job ...
if you do a light curve, its a clean black.
when can we have the new Redcine ?
