  1. #1 SCRATCH Play supports DRAGON...
At the launch event for the next generation of Surface in NYC today, Panos Panay from Microsoft showed a Carbon Dragon onstage... and SCRATCH Play running on a Surface Pro2 playing back Dragon R3D.

This new build of SCRATCH Play will be available from the ASSIMILATE websie tomorrow...for Mac and PC..

Lucas, is this the BIG announcement that has been alluded to for the last few weeks?

Yes... plus one thing that you couldn't see at the Microsoft event unless you were there...

We were using SCRATCH Play with Dragon footage, and powering a 4K display directly from the Surface Pro 2. A tablet device playing back true 4K from free software.

    That was pretty cool.

Madness! I remember when we had to use a steam locomotive to do this! Nice work guys. Can't wait to check it out.

I was there as part of the launch event and I can say it's pretty rad to see the Surface 2 pushing out 6K Dragon .R3D's to a 4K display over mini display port through SCRATCH Play. That little tablet is a beast.

It would probably be even cooler, at least to some people, if you put an Apple sticker on the back of the Surface 2......
