    I'd strongly recommend getting both. Having EVF for camera op and LCD for focus puller is an amazing setup! Plus the LCD is super valuable for light weight shots (EVF is heavy as a mother), table dolly/short jib shots, etc.

    Agreed, the LCD and EVF are not really options...you need to have both.

    I came to the conclusion today I'm going to have to go for the EVF as well. I was in really bright sun and trying to pull my own focus. As bright as the LCD is, I just would find it easier sealing off extraneous light with my eye.
