Is there a way to enable frame lines and/or mag/take numbers on the HDSDI prev like on Build 14? I'm on set right now and it'd sure be useful. The director sees things that are out of frame (such as shiny boards) and rightly getting concerned, we reassure him it's out of frame. Frame guides would be preferable. Am I missing the setting or was it really removed?

I'm running the latest firmware and both frame guides and take numbers are visible through HD-SDI. Perhaps there's a toggle somewhere? They were enabled by default after upgrading.

Shawn, are you running RED-EVF and RED-LCD and HD-SDI all at the same time? If so, the Preview HD-SDI & HDMI outputs won't have time code, clip name, frame lines or surround view markers on it. Remove either RED-EVF or RED-LCD and they will.

    hello,

had an intensive test phase today:

    - codec error in 4k 16:9 @ RC36 to reddrive
    >>> this occures as soon there are high freq. areas in the picture

    - shutter doesn't change in Varispeed unless changing
speed back and forth... (very anoying at 120fps)

    - LCD flickering in the lower 3rd

    - screw which holds joystick fellout (in the forest)
    so no more menu navigation...

We saw LCD flickering and the 4K 16:9 codec error shooting with v2.1.7 today. The latter seems like it might be related to scene detail.

    Is this temporary I assume?

Please elaborate. How does a "universal" mount work? Third? P+S?

Still LCD flickering after black calibration, restart and unplugging of LCD. Comes and goes, don't know how or why.

Impossible to set lower shutter speeds than 1/50 at 25 fps. The LCD will report lower but the exposure doesn't change. In varispeed it works though.

Is there any way of making the turning of the wheel more responsive? You can only turn the wheel slowly otherwise the numbers don't catch up - if they even do.

Can we please get an alternative method of navigating the menu system bypassing the "hell"stick as that joystick is the worst design ever.

Please, please could you have control of the menu via the playback controls as they don't seem likely to break or fall off :-)
