I'll post a little more info when I stop playing, along with some pretty pics. But, 1163 is home!

There were a few items missing, and I ended up ordering a couple of things that I didn't need, but all in all, she's a beauty.

Of particular, immediate importance, is the finish on the parts, is perfect. Everything, particularly the cage fits snuggly and tight. The drive locks down nicely, with no play. The mounts all snug up tight against the body, and everything is solid.

I am STILL amazed at the size of the camera. I've seen a number of REDs up close, Thor's, Jeremy's, and the RED's at NAB. Pulling the camera out of the box was a "Holy Shit" moment.

    Finally, at Brians request,

"NEINER, NEINER, NEINER! I GOT MY RED!" :)

Note that there is no lens on the camera. I'm off to the local rental house to throw some glass on it. I'll post some footage later this weekend.

Also, ignore the location of the handles. Missing from my delivery was the bottom plate, shoulder pad, a handle mount, and a universal mount (for the handle mount). So, nothing on the bottom of the camera to mount any rails or handles onto. I'm hoping to have this resolved shortly.

I like the look of mounting the drive and brick on the top bars, rather than suspended back behind the camera.
