Make sure they are 12G even if you are not monitoring in 12G. RED and Jared have stated a few times to always use 12G cables with Komodo even if you are monitoring in 3G.
Found that EF lens work better right now while they hammer out the RF kinks. The EF lenses seem to track better and much smoother pulls rather than hunt and peck like the RF did for me. But, I have...

Tilta V-Mount plate has (2) 2 pin and 2 D tap and 1 USB. It's only $150.
Anyone else notice the stuttering with the wired link adaptor connection? I see it every few frames or so. It's almost like it's monitoring at 15fps or something. Just curious if others still see...
Pretty much brand new as it only made a brief appearance on my Komodo while in my office. $450 shipped anywhere in the US.

Brand new in the boxes. These are the latest editions that tell Komodo how much power is left and don't give the error message. $275 for the pair shipped anywhere in the US....
Bump
It's pins 6 (GPI) & 9 (ground) if anyone is wondering.
Pretty much unused. $400 shipped anywhere in the USA.
RED gives us the clues to build a custom start stop cable in the manual but I still don't know which pins need to connect. They state "KOMODO uses a contact closure / momentary ground method for...
RF 24-105 f4, IS works.
Sigma Art 18-35 and 24-70 2.8, IS does NOT work. The 18-35 is not an IS lens. The 24-70 is.
I have one hardly used $600
RED PRO DSMC2 Touch 7.0" Ultra-Brite LCD 730-0026. This is the arm version and not the direct mount. Comes with the RED cable and RED mounting arm. All brand new and unused in original box. $3250

So just tried an EF autofocus lens and it is way better than the RF. The EF lens behaves more like what I described above on the A7. I'm sure the RF lenses will perform the same one day when they...
Currently a little of both. The current Tilta module does not pass along battery info. So, even with a "smart" battery on there, the camera will say unapproved battery. The new Tilta module will pass...
I believe the unapproved battery warning is because the attached battery is not communicating it's power level. It has nothing to do with what brand of battery is attached. Also, I believe the new...
Thanks for the info. Maybe I'll try an EF lens.
With the RF lens right now, if the Komodo is on the table and nothing moves in the frame, it does the job. And I totally get that this is all beta...
Nice video: "...and here's bunch of cheap crap that doesn't work for the Komodo". I guess it's a good what not to buy video.
I'm starting to not dig the dual battery setup in the back because there is no power out which means you now have another battery(probably just as big as a 975) hanging off the monitor and if you...
Also, is there any way to activate the AF from the main screen? Kind of cumbersome to have go 3 menus deep to activate it each time. Which leads to my next problem—I have to keep reactivating the AF....
