FedEx says ours will be delivered today! Yay!
We'll see what's included in the box... We've already received the side handle and some redvolt batteries, so even if we have to resort to using our...
Got my evaluation results today as well, and unfortunately mine was even worse than that. Our camera wasn't even used all that often, only a few hours every month, but we did rent it out a handful of...
Received the email today for #2185, and I've already dropped it off at FedEx!
My original Red One delivery was 8/2008.
Fingers crossed for a good inspection! :001_smile:
Great news! Can't wait to send in my camera : )
I agree with both your posts, and at this point I think we're all just wondering how this trade in will work (I'm hoping for the best, but preparing for the worst ). Originally I assumed...
Another thought regarding the trade-in value... What if you have the MX upgrade, is that worth nothing? In other words, lets say you have Camera A with a $5,000 MX chip in it and one bad XLR port, is...
+1 I'm a little curios what the 'average' trade-in value will be. I know that things change when it comes to RED, but it was well after Stage 2 closed that Stage 3 $17,500 trade-in was changed to...
As a Stage 3'er I can personally say that I wouldn't care how many people from stage 4 get their camera ahead of me if I knew I would still get my camera in a reasonable amount of time, for example,...
+1 to all of this. The most realistic and sensible post I've seen on the whole 4k vs HD discussion.
Most of us in stage 3 are well aware of how insanely generous it is, and extremely thankful. Honestly when I try to explain it to friends and family I can tell that they don't fully understand, its...
Sorry I couldn't help you figure it out, best of luck!
Just another thought... You are using AMA on the r3d files right? Not the proxies.
I used the "manage attachments" under additional options.
Here's a better view of the settings...
I just set it to File_16 and clicked get sequence (with the sequence open and highlighted in MC).
I'll attach a screen cap for you, in case that helps.
Are you using "File_16" for your EDL type?
In MC6 I brought in a few clips via AMA, trimmed and exported an EDL using File_16, imported that in RedCine X (as CML 3600) and it brought in all my...
Amen to that!
Kind of quiet around here, but there's still a lot of white on the list. Anyone out there still waiting for their notification email?
Congrats Antonio!
After updating the list all these months it must be pretty sweet to finally get your email!
Ah yes, Bigfoot made by Sasquatch Tech. I forgot about the new software update that allows the creation of R3D files.
Good catch!
Since R3Ds can only be created by a camera (I know you can trim, but that's beside the point) it would at least be proof that no post work (VFX) was done on the file.
Here's a nice list of Pelican cases and airline restrictions.

I think we're all on the same page. My original point was just that the serial number of the Epic X is nice to know because it gives us a decent (not exact) indication of the total number of units...
Anything's possible, but I think it would be an unusual method for them to arbitrarily "skip" groups of numbers, as far as we know they didn't do that with the R1. Sure there may be a few "duds" that...
