Without dedicated hardware Netflix has no chance to deliver decent quality 4K.

Maybe Apple TV box 4K could be designed to do it but not Netflix.
Or another 2 years till PS4 (4K) will be released....

RR is limited to HDMI 1.4a specs. and it is hardware limitation not the .RED limitation.
